$1500 for equine therapy for the 17-year-old daughter whose mother, an LGBTQIA+ rights activist, was threatened by the state with the removal of one of her children because of her organizing.
$8000 for educational and sports activities for five children, ages eight to 19, from four families whose parents fled their home countries for the U.S. after their human rights activism put them in immediate danger.
$3000 for DJ equipment and dance classes for the 13 and 18 year-old sisters whose mom advocated against racism and rape culture in schools. In retaliation, she lost important contracts with the local schools and government and was forced to relocate.
$11,840 for school supplies and camps for eight children, ages five to 19, from three families. Their parents were targeted and threatened by ICE as a result of their work exposing injustices in the immigration system.
