Jenn Speaking Engagement

The Rosenberg Fund for Children relies on help from our supporters around the country to organize fundraising events for us in their local areas.  The two most common types of events that benefit the RFC are private house parties and public programs.  Typically executive director Jenn Meeropol attends and gives the main presentation at either type of event, including making a request for funds if appropriate.

The RFC provides various types of assistance for any individuals, groups or institutions wishing to host an RFC benefit event with Jenn.  We offer guidance with generating publicity and attendance, strucuturing the program, etc.  We produce invitations and flyers when requested, and send promotional materials to our supporters and media contacts in the area.

We count on our hosts to provide supplemental mailing lists, either from personal contacts and/or organizational connections, and to spread the word in other ways around their communities and networks.

Our goals with these programs are to educate the public about the needs addressed by our project, to generate income, to introduce potential new supporters to our work, and to make or renew personal connections with our current supporters.  Events vary widely in size, style, and fundraising goals, from house parties that occasionally are as small as several dozen people, to events with hundreds of attendees at large institutions such as synagogues, colleges, etc.
