After attending a protest for immigrant rights outside a major ICE detention center, the parents were labelled ANTIFA and convicted of terrorism, rioting and conspiracy. They have been torn from their families and sentenced to a combined 200 years in prison.

After cutting and editing together the father’s talk on organizing, the Youtuber claimed he was “calling for overthrowing the government” and began a smear campaign that led to him being fired illegally from a tenured position in academia.
