MA in March, DC in April

This spring we’ve got two exciting events planned which promise to be uplifting for attendees while raising funds for our work helping the children of resistance. Both dates will feature activist musicians who’ve been great friends to the RFC and whose past performances for us have always been magical.

March 16th, 6 pm, Haydenville, MA: Mike and Ruthy Merenda (who are members of our Advisory Board) bring their neo-traditional roots music group The Mammals for an evening of music and dining in a stunning setting in the hills of western Massachusetts. The Mammals have been called “a party band with a conscience” who “tell stories that are at once topical and timeless, bearing a message of hope and empowerment with a modern string-band sound.” The night will include a farm-to-table dinner before the concert, all in a beautiful, post-and-beam barn that exudes rustic charm. Details and advanced tickets available here.

April 7th, 12:30 pm, McLean, VA: Folk-rock duo The Nields (sisters Katryna and Nerissa) give an intimate benefit concert in the Washington, DC-area home of their parents, who met at a Pete Seeger concert and nurtured a love of protest music in their children. With gorgeous sibling harmonies and powerful original songwriting, Nields shows are always moving and memorable. Contact us at info@rfc.org or (413) 529-0063 to reserve space.
