Across the U.S., children of activists are suffering.

Their parents are facing harsh repression because they’re struggling to wage peace; preserve civil liberties; safeguard the environment; combat racism, poverty, and homophobia; and organize on behalf of immigrants, workers, and others whose lives are threatened.

It reminds me of what I went through as a child when my mother and father, Ethel and Julius Rosenberg, were arrested, then executed when I was six.

The Rosenberg Fund for Children, the organization I founded in my parents’ honor, helps meet the educational and emotional needs of these kids whose activist parents have been targeted for their work to make the world a better place for us all.

Stand with them! Add your name to our community of support to show the children described below, and others like them, that they are not alone.

In our 22-year history, the RFC has helped several generations of Leonard Peltier’s family. Most recently we funded a trip for Leonard’s then one, four, and six-year-old great grandchildren to meet him for the first time. Previously the family had been unable to afford to travel to where Leonard was imprisoned, but our assistance brought several generations together for the visit pictured here.

Fatima and Rachel were stunned and confused when the FBI searched their homes, and ransacked and photographed their belongings. Their parents, members of peace and justice groups in the Midwest, are among those who were targeted recently by grand juries investigating anti-war and international solidarity activists for supposedly providing material support for terrorist organizations. These girls, six and seven years old, now face possible separation from one or both of their parents. Grants from the Rosenberg Fund for Children will help provide them a safe haven by paying for summer camp.

More kids like these are suffering right now because their parents who are involved in social justice movements have been the targets of harsh repression. I know from my own experience what a positive difference it makes to have people rally around you. Please join me by adding your name above to send the message to the children of targeted activists that they are not alone.

Thank you,
